Spring Cherry Trees!

After a long, dark, and soggy winter, spring gently arrives with the magical pink blossoms of our beloved cherry trees! The University of Washington campus in Seattle is the home of over 200 cherry trees. Many of them are gnarly, 90 year old beings who beckon the entire community out into the spring sunshine and soft pink haze of their flowers. OF COURSE THEY MUST BE SKETCHED! I joined Seattle Urban Sketchers for an outing to UW and sketched blossoms throughout the cherry tree season.
