There are few things in life we get to witness that are as impressive as the vault of the sky and the ever-changing cloudscapes that it contains. That is the focus this month while we explore color-mixing, brush-handling, and paint application strategies that will give your landscape paintings movement, subtlety, and depth of space.
Come along with Kathleen as she explores the vast options this subject offers. You will be working on your own paintings, using your own photo references, or choose one from Kathleen. Each class will focus on a specific aspect of the atmosphere and how to represent it in paint. Kathleen will give a detailed demonstration, then you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss your work during class.
Some of the topics we’ll cover are: the vault of the sky, perspective of clouds, mist & fog, and sunsets/sunrises.
